International
Building Code 2000 - IBC2000 – (Paragraph 1621.3.5 – Component Certification)
states that: “The manufacturer’s Certificate of Compliance with the force
requirements of Section 1621 shall be submitted to the building official.” SVS-Engineering
can evaluate your equipment, recommend design improvements, and restrained
isolation systems (if required), as well as provide an independent third party
certification for your equipment. Analysis includes finite element analysis of
critical areas of the equipment.

This is a finite element
model of a structural frame subjected to earthquake loads. |
 |
|
Buildings,
bridges and other structures which are subjected to earthquakes may require a
low friction joint to permit horizontal motion. SVS-Engineering will work with
you to design a low profile, low friction sliding element.
