Shock isolation of equipment
subjected to external forces (such as transportation or handling shocks) can be
obtained by interposing an element of controlled stiffness and damping between
the equipment and its environment.
Shock
absorption due to manufacturing processes (such as punch presses) or impact
(such as a drop hammer) can be provided by placing an engineered high impact pad
system, or a fluid shock absorber, between the source and the surrounding
environment. |
